Yesterday, September 16, 2013, it was announced that Packaging Corporation of America is buying Boise Cascade. Add that to the fact that International Paper just announced that they are going to close another paper mill and we will be watching paper prices climb quickly by next Spring if not by years end. As the big players, IP, Rock Tenn and PCA grow they are now controlling most of the capacity and therefore can set prices. If I was buying any Forest Product stocks IP would be the one as they are the largest and best able to benefit from any change in paper pricing.

Anyone want to guess where liner board prices will be a year from now? It will not be down, I am just wondering how far up.
